Dr. Shahi is a nationally board certified Chiropractic physician in the State of Connecticut. She is currently training to become a certified Acupuncturist. She is certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and Orthotics. She is also trained in using advanced Kinesiology Tape and RockTape methods. During her educational years at the Chiropractic College, she had her clinical rotations in multiple health centers such as Veterans Affairs Medical Centre, JP Morgan Chase Wellness Centre, Stony Brooks University Hospital MRI Neuroradiology, Optimus Health Care, Orthopedic Specialty Group and Community Health Centers at Waterbury, Bristol and Danbury. As an intern with these multidisciplinary long-term care facilities, she focused on a complete approach to treating acute and chronic pain patients with their neuro-musculoskeletal disorders.
After graduation, Dr. Shahi embarked on a Chiropractic mission trip to Nepal (her home country), where she worked with the National Disabled Co-ordination Council and Social Welfare in providing Chiropractic care to the under-served people of rural Nepal. Before joining the team at Ruggiero Family Chiropractic, she worked as a Chiropractic Physician at Raya Clinic. She is also a member of American Chiropractic Association. Dr. Shahi lives a very active lifestyle, loves to travel around the world and experience new cultures, and trains in martial arts.
